Mohammad Siddiqi

Mohammad A. Siddiqi is Professor and Director of Journalism Program at Western Illinois University, Macomb, U. S. A. where he has been teaching since 1987. He has published three books and more than two dozen articles in refereed journals and periodicals. His latest book is "Islam, Muslims and Media: Myths and Realities." He has contributed several chapters in books written about Muslims in the United States. Professor Siddiqi serves on editorial boards of many Muslim publications in the U. S. Dr. Siddiqi has traveled extensively in North America and more than thirty countries of the world giving lectures, conducting media workshops, and organizing sessions on Islam and related topics. He chairs the Islam and Media Working group in the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) of which he is a life member. He is also the Secretary General of the World Council of Muslims for Interfaith Relations (WCMIR).
