Donald Wagner is the Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at North Park University in Chicago, which is entering its 13th year. To date, this is the only such center at an Evangelical Christian college or university. The Center offers a minor in Middle Eastern Studies, Arabic language, a lecture series on cultural-political-and historical issues for the community, holds conferences and seminars, will begin a student exchange (with an Egyptian university), conducts a traveling seminar to the MEast, and sponsors a Middle East Student Assoc. that is very active on campus. Dr. Wagner is a professor and teaches courses in comparative religions and modern Middle Eastern politics and history. He has authored four books and several articles, most specializing on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Middle Eastern Christianity, and the impact of the religious right on US policy in the Middle East.
